We act to continuously improve our sustainability performance. We participate in a variety of external rating programs that assess our policies and performance across a range of environmental, social and governance areas; and compare us to other organisations globally.
Our recognitions
Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)
In FY20 we increased our commitment to climate change action by adopting new greenhouse gas reduction targets which focus our efforts on decarbonising our business.
Our new targets comprehensively cover scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions in line with climate science, and have been externally validated by the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). Transurban is the first ASX20 company to have targets validated by SBTi.
Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI)
Transurban is placed in the DJSI World Index of the top 10% rated listed companies among nearly 5,000 globally.
MSCI ESG rating
Transurban has received a AAA ESG rating (the highest) from MSCI for the past five years. We are currently ranked in the top 4% of the AAA-rated global transport infrastructure organisations.
Ethibel socially responsible investment register
Transurban is rated with the “Excellence” label in the 2022 Ethibel Investment Register.
Equileap
